burn the bandwagon
so i’m doing my daily rounds and I come up on obey giant’s girls stuff on karmaloop:

and i’m taken back at how pulled back their new stuff is. everything works in cycles and the guys who stay ahead of whatever the current hot thing is are the ones who have the ability to stick around. for awhile (and still..) people were putting any and everything they could on a shirt just BECAUSE. a full body print doesn’t automatically equal a dope garment. I think people are getting over it and will start pulling back and using things like allovers and full body illustrations in a smarter, more refined way. the ones that stick with you (in tees, life, etc.) are the ones that clearly deliver their message, point, idea and keep it moving w/ out all the noise.
